Beside the course on intercultural communication, the program also focuses on the communication dimension of interreligious dialogue as well as the relation between religion, communication and culture. The latter is a special concern of the Asian Research Center for Religion and Social Communication (ARC) related to the program . Based at Saint John’s University, Bangkok, the ARC is also connected to MAT-SPC in emphasizing the research element. The center publishes the bi-annual journal, Religion and Social Communication. MAT-SPC concentrates on Pastoral communication or the study of the communication dimensions Church ministries. A further development foresees an emphasis on Evangelizing communication or the communication dimension of Evangelization, which is strongly related to Missiology.
